So we decided to go around the downtown route one more time to learn better and unfortunately, that was miss and go with narrations and live locations because it was afternoon and traffic had died down. I still don’t know which building was where the first trading started. The earphones were too big for our ears and didn’t quite fit in my ear canal so I could t benefit from the narrations to max and when I did press and held it in with my fingers, the narrations didn’t really match real time almost 70% of the time. We managed to go to the top deck after 30-35 minutes and we felt more comfortable. The first deck had no air conditioning and we we’re perspiring uncomfortably. Then we hopped on the first deck because the top deck was full. The downloaded e-tickets had to be verified by the Big bus ticket agent and he needed to have the printed copies which made the whole e-ticket pointless. We eventually found the right company after asking 5 different guides from another popular hop-on-hop-off agents standing on different junctions. The company I booked with had merged with Big bus tours but the ticket was indicating a different co. We had difficulty finding the right tour. I’ve never been on a tour that specifically advertised stops, then changes it or just doesn’t stop and then doesn’t inform the customer or offer a solution or compensation. They told us to try to call somewhere else. ![]() ![]() We contacted their hotline to send a complaint and they said they couldn’t help us after giving them all our information and worked with them for an hour. If we would have known any of this we wouldn’t have wasted our money. That wasn’t even where we were picked up. We couldn’t even stay on if we wanted too because at the wax museum the bus pulled over and they made everyone get off. That bus was making stops but by that time it was too late. The first stop was in Chinatown/little Italy. We had an event in soho but the bus didn’t pull over and stop like it was supposed too. Then our driver missed the first 3 stops. We finally came across it on 42nd street. We were never told but a person selling on the street told us the wrong location. Took this tour for the advertised stops and the b pick up location was supposed to be at the M&M store. ![]()
